Texas de Brazil Finally Opened at The Orchard. It Was the Last of the Year's Arrivals, Not the First.

  • October 15, 2026

Texas de Brazil announced on October 9, 2026 that its new restaurant at Orchard Town Center is open. Gauchos now carve picanha tableside in Westminster. It was expected much sooner. In September 2025, BizWest and the city's Westminster Economic Development office both reported that Texas de Brazil, the Taiwanese tea shop CHICHA San Chen, and the skin-care clinic Facial Aesthetics were expected in the first quarter of 2026.

Only one of those three made that window. The order they did arrive in, and what else opened in between, shows what kind of place The Orchard has turned into this year.

Three forecasts, three different arrival dates

The schedule changed twice in public. By June 5, 2026, ColoradoBiz had CHICHA San Chen and MilkShake Factory down for the second quarter and Texas de Brazil for the third. Here is how the original three actually played out.

Business Forecast, Sept. 2025 Forecast, June 2026 When it opened
Facial Aesthetics Q1 2026 Already open March 2026
CHICHA San Chen Q1 2026 Q2 2026 July 2026
Texas de Brazil Q1 2026 Q3 2026 Open by Oct. 9, 2026

Facial Aesthetics, which is Colorado-based, opened in March, right on schedule. CHICHA San Chen turned up in Westword's roundup of July openings, at 14644 Orchard Pkwy. The paper called it "the social sensation tea house." The big dining room came last.

In practice, the center did most of its 2026 changing before the anchor restaurant everyone was waiting for had served a single meal.

What filled the months in between

The openings that came between the forecasts add up to something more interesting than a new steakhouse. ColoradoBiz listed four new tenants in the first half of the year.

  1. goGLOW, sunless tanning and skin care, opened in February.
  2. Facial Aesthetics opened in March.
  3. Macy's Backstage, an off-price department inside the existing Macy's with apparel, home goods, beauty, and accessories, also opened in March.
  4. Perspire Sauna Studio, which offers private infrared sauna sessions, opened in April.

Three of those four are services you book an appointment for. You don't browse them on the way to something else. Taylor Alvey, vice president of leasing at Vestar, which co-owns The Orchard with TriGate Capital and handles management and leasing, described the plan in ColoradoBiz. "The Orchard is designed to be a place where visitors can shop, relax and discover something new each time they come," Alvey said. "Every new addition helps create an environment that blends retail, wellness and lifestyle experiences for the community."

That shift started before 2026. In 2025 the center added Activate in February, according to BizWest, and then Swing 365 Golf and Postino WineCafe, both of which the Denver Post described as recently welcomed by mid-September. The Post also reported that P.F. Chang's was taking the former Mimi's Cafe site, that MINISO was coming in a store of nearly 6,000 square feet, and that AMC Theatres had finished a refresh that included Dolby Atmos. Pandora, which BizWest reported began welcoming shoppers in April 2025, joined Men's Wearhouse and Rack Room Shoes among that year's retail arrivals.

Put the two years side by side and The Orchard's newer tenants line up around the evening. There's a wine café, a golf venue, a refreshed theater, a sauna studio, and now a rodízio steakhouse. Texas de Brazil is the piece that holds that group together, not the reason for it.

The dinner room that arrived to anchor it

Texas de Brazil only serves dinner, and its posted hours set the pace for a night at the center:

  • Monday through Thursday, 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Friday, 5 to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, 4 to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, 4 to 9 p.m.

The format is rodízio. Gauchos move through the dining room carving beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and Brazilian sausage at each table, and the company says its salad area has more than 50 items, from artisan cheeses and charcuterie to hot dishes. The bar pours caipirinhas, and there's a wine list. The release also mentions group dining for holiday parties, which matters for the next couple of months.

In the opening announcement on PR Newswire, company president Salim Asrawi pointed to "Westminster's continued growth and Orchard Town Center's role as a regional destination" as the reason for picking this location. The release doesn't give a suite number or say which space the restaurant took.

Two weeks left of the strangest thing The Orchard has hosted

The clearest example of what the center is going after this fall only runs until October 25. SIP is a 70-minute immersive drink-tasting show by Culture House Immersive. It opens the 16th season of The Catamounts, the theater company producing it, and runs October 2 through 25, 2026. Here are the basics from The Orchard's event page and The Catamounts' ticket page:

  • Where: 14694 Orchard Pkwy., Suite 900
  • Cost: $35 per person
  • Format: alcoholic and non-alcoholic tastings. Guests stand for the 70 minutes, and chairs are available for anyone who needs one.
  • Remaining sessions listed: October 15 through 18, plus dates through the 25th
  • Age policy: neither page lists one, so check before you bring a teenager

SIP is the first developmental production from Culture House Immersive, which is led by Mikhael Tara Garver, named the World Experience Organization's 2026 Experientialist of the Year. The show is produced with support from the City of Westminster's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Libraries and from the center itself. The cast includes Joan Bruemmer-Holden, James Brunt, Clark Destin Jones, Ariana DuRan, Sam Gilstrap, Adeline Mann, Jason Maxwell, Mel Schaffer, and Peter Trinh.

The October 2 performance was listed for 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. If later shows use a similar time slot, an early weekend dinner at Texas de Brazil, which starts seating at 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, would fit before the show.

What is still marked "coming soon"

The pattern of delays from this year is still going. MilkShake Factory, the dessert shop ColoradoBiz expected in the second quarter, is still labeled "coming soon" on the center's tenant page, with no date. The directory gives the same label to Donutsville, Dakota London, Cardinal Family Chiropractic, and Grandrabbit's Toy Shoppe, and it gives no opening dates for any of them. Given how far the 2026 forecasts slipped, "coming soon" here could mean next month or next year.

The holiday calendar hasn't been posted yet. As of October 11, The Orchard's events page listed only October 2026 programming, with no tree lighting, Santa visits, or holiday market. Elsewhere in the city, Downtown Westminster has set its Holiday Lighting Ceremony & Market for November 21, though it hasn't posted times yet.

Jennifer Stuckey keeps track of what opens, what stalls, and what is still marked coming soon across Westminster, including the stretch around Orchard Parkway. If you'd like an update when the next of those coming-soon tenants opens, or want to talk about how this part of the city is changing, Jennifer Stuckey would be glad to hear from you. Let's Connect.
